Intermediate Colors

When you mix a primary and a secondary color, you get an intermediate, or tertiary color. For instance, red + orange = red-orange.

Try mixing and creating colors in the color paintbox! In this activity, the blue is cyan and red is magenta. When painters mix colors, they often prefer these particular colors for blue and red.
