ideas and feelings, and about various color schemes. A color
scheme is a certain system or arrangement of colors that is used in a design.

various color groups and color schemes
- Apply new skills and
knowledge to create an original work of art incorporating a color
scheme of your
choosing.

When you complete this instructional unit, you should be able to:

- Identify primary, secondary,
and intermediate, or tertiary colors.
- Identify analogous colors
in a design.
- Identify and use complementary
colors.
- Identify and use warm
& cool colors.
- Identify neutral
colors.
- Identify and use monochromatic
colors.
- Identify and use tints and
shades.
- Identify the meaning of hue
and intensity
- Choose a color scheme and
create an original work of art in a studio activity.
