Primary Colors

There are three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. They can not be made by mixing any other colors.

A Dutch artist named Piet Mondrian liked to create paintings using primary colors, plus black and white. These vibrant colors contrasted with each other to create interesting arrangements of squares and rectangles.

Secondary Colors

The three secondary colors are orange, green, and violet. These are made my mixing two primary colors together. Violet is also called purple.
