BerkmarHigh School.  I-85 South to Pleasant Hill Road .  From the ramp, turn left, continue on Pleasant Hill Road for three miles.  Berkmar is on the right just before the intersection of Highway 29.
 
Creekview High School- Go Dawsonville Highway(GA-53) for 9.6 miles.  Turn left onto Keith Bridge Road.  Go 9.0 miles.  Turn slight left onto Dahlonega Highway/GA 306.  Continue on GA-306.  Take a slight  right onto Canton Highway/GA 20 and go 9.7 miles.  Turn left onto Arbor Hill Road.  Go 2 miles.  Turn right onto Owens Store Road.  School will be approximately 1/2 mile.  1550 Owens Store Road.

Lanier Pointe Park Softball Fields– Go Highway 53 West past the mall and Publix. You will pass McDonald's on your left. There will be a BP Station on the right. Turn left onto Lanier Valley Road. Continue to the entrance to Lanier Pointe Park.  Go to the end of the road for the softball fields.
 
West Jackson Park-Go Atlanta Highway-GA 13 South for 4.8 miles.  Turn left on GA 53.  Go 11.9 miles.  Turn right on W. Broad Street. Go .4 miles.  Turn right onto Cabin Drive.  374 Cabin Drive, Hoschton, GA is on the right.

GHS volleyball coaches will be holding an open volleyball tryout for the GHS Varsity & Junior Varsity Volleyball team.  Tryouts will be held Friday, August 10th in the new gym 4:30-5:30pm.  You must have a physical to try out.  If you know of any students in grades 8-12 who would be interested please let them know.  Results will be posted late Friday night on the gym door.  If you have any questions please contact the coaches:

The dedication of the P.K. Dixon Field House at Bobby Gruhn Field in City Park will be on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 6:00 pm.  The public is invited to attend.

Gainesville High School football season tickets will be available for purchase at the school’s main office from 11 am to 2 pm each weekday.  Tickets are $50.00 and cover admission to each of the Red Elephants’ five home games.

SAVE THE NEW DATE:  The Athletic Club’s Third Annual Stomp and Chomp will be on Saturday, October 20^th at the event center of the new Scott’s on the Square (the old Pilgrim-Estes Building on Bradford.  The first two year’s contribution to the Gainesville City sports programs has been around $50,000.  Over 250 people attended the event both of the first two years.  If anyone is interested in buying a table or donating an item for the live or silent auction, please contact Kris Nordholz at knordholz@fullmedia.com.
