Virtual Stone Mountain Field Trip 
This site takes the students on a trip on the mountain.

Student Fieldtrip Worksheet
This site will provide the students with a worksheet to 
take on their trip to Stone Mountain.  The worksheet encourages the students to examine and investigate the mountain as they climb.

Division Map

The Education Center employs a full time Master Teacher and Department of Natural Resources staff to work with young people.  The staff teaches students about  the natural environment  through hands-on learning.

               Grisson Mine

The Crisson Gold Mine dating back to 1847, is open 
for tours and gold panning.  See the 117 year-old stamp 
mill - the only original working mill in Georgia.  Tour the machinery of one of the last commercial gold mines to operate in Georgia. Pan for gold or look for gemstones 
with help from expert miners.

Located 2 1/2 miles north of town on US Highway 19 Connector.
