Gainesville High School won the Region 7AAA One Act Competition by performing "THE FANTASTICKS" at Riverside Military Academy.

Gainesville High School Drama Department is one of 50 schools in the U.S.A. to be invited to perform at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, August of 2005.
