Gainesville High School offers a variety of sports for male and female athletes and has one of the most successful programs in the state, having recent state champions in several sports. Gainesville teams are highly competitive and well-regarded in all sports. Sports include baseball basketball, cross country,  football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and wrestling. Approximately 60% of our student body participates in our athletic program as players, managers, or cheerleaders. Our Special Olympics students also fare well in the local and state Special Olympics and we are very proud of their effort and accomplishments.
