As I make the transition to Gainesville Middle School, I hope to contribute and share the ideas that I value from my experiences and
learning both as a teacher and an administrator. I am looking forward to
forming a partnership with you to provide a quality educational program
for your child. The staff is committed to providing an outstanding
middle school experience where the belief is that all students will
succeed. I am excited and honored for the opportunity of working with a
community that shares the same beliefs about education as I do and are
committed to excellence.
We believe that children are much more than test scores. They are complex human beings
with a wide variety of developmental needs that must be addressed for
them to be successful. The simple plan for accomplishing our mission is
to continue striving to do better today that we did yesterday. Yes, this
statement is an oversimplification of a complex task, but it is this
type of positive attitude that is at the core of our success and is
found throughout our school. The bottom line is that if we ignore the
complex social, emotional and physical needs of our students, it will be
that much more difficult to impart the academic skills needed for them
to succeed as adults.
I am looking forward to meeting you and beginning the 2006-07 school
year with all of its challenges and opportunities for success.
