Earth Quest Academy is a program of interdisciplinary teaching on the aspects of ecology.
This program of choice focuses on environmental awareness and encourages students to become
responsible stewards of local ecosystems while considering the impact of an individual’s
actions on global ecology. Earth Quest is structured to challenge students to utilize their
critical thinking skills to examine and analyze both local and global issues in order to develop
a clear understanding that they can make a difference in the future of our planet.
Earth Quest believes that a key to learning is the use of projects and field trips to enhance
classroom instruction. There are several projects and field trips planned during the school year.
The projects allow the students to put their knowledge to use by creating models, flags,
PowerPoint presentations, and many other projects. The field trips allow the students to see
how the knowledge they have learned fits into their world.
