Parents need to understand that the greatest risk our children face online is being denied access. The Internet is essential to our children's education, future careers and lives. But even the most experienced Internet user doesn't understand how children use the Internet and how to help them have a safer and more enjoyable surfing experience.
Where can we take you?
What's IM? And, What is this about a secret code kids use online?
What if I find out my child is a cyberbully?
How do I know when to call the police or just when to ignore something?
How can I tell if my child is communicating with an Internet predator?
Is there software I can use to track what my kids are saying and doing online?
What about cell phones?
Tell me more about interactive gaming devices, like X-Box Live and Sony Playstation 2 Network?
Where can I go for more information?
I heard you run a program for teens called Teenangels. How can I learn more?
My children have a project they need to do on online safety, Can you help?
What about search engines?
I ran into a porn site, looking for a kid-friendly site. Is that legal?
I hate e-mail spam, what can I do about it?
How can I stop pop-ups?
Can you make this simple for me?
How to fully be a parent.
Why kids do what they do.
"What do we do when our eight-year-old knows more than we do about cyberspace? How do we guide our children safely through this new world? How do we set the rules when we don't even understand the risks? The childproof locks, seatbelts and helmets we use to help keep them safe in every day life won't protect them in cyberspace.
There we need new and different gadgets and safety tips."
