The Humanities Arts and Sciences Academy offers students the opportunity to explore the human experience through a linked, enriched curriculum of literature, history, philosophy, the arts, and sciences. The program stresses the importance of developing a deeper understanding of the historical and literary perspectives of a time and place in history, the performing arts, and scientific discovery.
Students are provided opportunities to develop and enhance verbal, perceptual, and intellectual skills that are necessary to write and think critically, create with their hands, act and speak from their hearts, and investigate through research. In addition, emphasis is placed on the development of positive self-image, self-motivation, and continuous self-improvement.
