Teacher of the Month

1. Purpose: To acknowledge significant contributions to school, academy, and students, GMS will select a "Teacher of the Month". Each academy principal will nominate individual teachers based on effective practices within the classroom, participation in school activities, involvement in school and/or community relations and outside programs which contribute to improved student achievements.

2. Each month, the selected teacher will receive:

• Name plate on Teacher of the Month plaque in the front office.
• Three (3) jeans passes
• Certificate signed by each Academy Principal and the Campus Principal

3. The winners of the Teacher of the Month are:

• October - Mr. Michael Murphy, Humanities Academy, 7th Grade Social Studies
• November - Ms. Sally Jackson, Humanities Academy, 6th Grade Reading
• December - Mrs. Deena Hick, Classical Studies Academy, 6th Grade Mathematics
