Joab Rico
I am a second year teacher at
Gainesville Middle School. I am a Special Education teacher
serving in a Co-teaching role for 7th and
8th grade Language Arts and 7th grade Math. I was
born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and
completed my college degree there as well. While in college
I made the basketball team and quickly
crossed over to the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field team
which I did for four years, making
All-Conference in the High Jump. After College, I moved to St. Louis,
Missouri where I complete a Master of
Divinity degree at Covenant Theological Seminary.
I met my wife, Rebekah, while there and
we were married in 2003. Rebekah and I have been blessed
with two amazing children. We have a 2
1/2 year old Son named Isaiah and a 3 month old daughter named Mercy. I
am excited about coaching Cross Country and Soccer this year at GMS
because these sports
will give our student athletes the
opportunity to grow in their character and fitness as young men and
women
