Kellies Stevens is returning back to her home town Gainesville, GA. She graduated from Johnson High School, where she played four years of tennis, basketball, and softball, lettering all four years in each sport. She then attended Chattanooga State College on a basketball scholarship. After two years she transferred to Lander University also on a basketball scholarship. After one year at Lander she transferred to University of Georgia to finish up her education.  She graduated with at B.S.e.d. in 2002 at UGA.  During her college career she was very active in intramurals and sports; she played on the basketball teams and helped manage the softball teams. She received her Masters of Exercise Science and Health Promotion at the University of California.

            This will be her 6th year teaching Health and Physical Education at Gainesville Middle School. She has coached softball, basketball, soccer, track and field, and tennis. Her first year she helped the Women’s Varsity Basketball team and GHS won the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The second year she was an assistant coach of this team and won BACK to BACK State Championship titles. Along with those wins were the Lainerland Champs and the Region Champions. Her third year she coached the 8th grade team and GMS had a winning season. They were runners-up to the Hall County Championship.  The girls middle school track team 04-05’ won the Hall County Championship. She looks forward to the up coming tennis season.
