Jodi Y. Graham has been teaching chorus, general music, and private voice for over 14 years.  She is a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, GA, where she acquired a Bachelor of Music Education degree.  During her time at Shorter, Ms. Graham won several awards in the area of vocal performance, starred in an opera, The Marriage of Figaro, participated in the Bound for Broadway show choir, was a member of the prestigious Shorter College Chorale, starred in several musicals, and performed all across the United States and Internationally.  She also received the Louise McMillian music education award during her senior year at Shorter.

          Ms. Graham began teaching at Model High/Middle School right after graduation from college.  Ms. Graham has also taught at Piedmont Academy, Monticello, GA, and Jasper County Comprehensive High/Middle School, Monticello, GA.  During her stay at Jasper County, Ms. Graham directed and produced three high school musicals, Oliver, Annie, and Grease.  In addition to these efforts, Ms. Graham also had state winners in Literary Meet and participants in the All-State chorus.  Her performing choruses achieved superior marks at the district choral festival. 

          Some other highlights of Ms. Graham’s musical career include being a member of the Atlanta Symphony Chorus, a member of the Centennial Olympic Choir in 1994, singing the national anthem for an Atlanta Falcons game, and being a paid soloist for many conferences and retreats.

          Ms. Graham has two sons, and a dog named Angel.  Some of her interests and hobbies are golf, travel, reading, and cooking.  She is looking forward to a great rebuilding year for the choral program at GMS, and is excited to be here!
