Gainesville City Schools has a purchase relationship for our system owned computers with Gateway Computers, and they have offered specific assistance with this laptop initiative to families by calling 1-877-283-6769 or online at http://select.gateway.com/gcssk12. But parents can purchase a laptop from any source they choose. Below are vendors listed in the Gainesville/Hall County telephone book:
Additionally, parents can go online with Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Compaq or a host of others. The only stipulation is that the laptop meet a few required specifications listed here.
