Dear Parent/Guardian
 
The Gainesville Middle School Parent Involvement Program welcome you and your family back to school and encourage you to remain involved in your child’s education, both inside and outside of the classroom.  Your involvement will help your sons and daughters be more successful now and in the future.
 
Our children need all of our support to reach their potential as great thinkers, innovators and leaders.  The commitment we make now will benefit our state and country as they become citizens of the world, competing and collaborating in an ever-changing global landscape.
 
There are many ways to be involved with your child’s learning.  This includes not only establishing routine homework habits but also making time to get to know your child’s teacher and other staff members at his or her school and asking how your child can find success this school year.
 
Your son/daughter will receive services through the Title I Program. Title I is committed to helping all students reach their full educational potential. We will be most successful when you are actively involved with your child’s schoolwork.
 
The Parent Involvement Program has planned and exciting year of workshops and activities to assist you in assisting your child be successful this year. 
 
We urge you to come join us this year, participate in the activities and workshops.  Let us know how we are doing; your suggestions are always welcome. The Title I Teachers and the Parent Coordinator are available to assist you in anyway possible. Our Parent Resource Center is located in room 136. The hours of operation are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 
 
I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure their success.  Please join me in this pledge so that our children can be successful in the 2010-11 school year and beyond.
