System Parent Involvement

I wanted to share with you a wonderful website called the Georgia Parent and Information Center www.georgiapirc.net . This site provides information and resources that we hope you will find useful in your role as the primary educator of your children.  There is valuable information about the federal No Child Left Behind legislation and what it specifically means to your child or children, the schools they are attending, and the local school district.  You will find tips that may prove useful when talking with teachers or school officials.  If you have younger children, they have great advice regarding book selection and effective ways to read with them.  If you want to get more involved at your child's school, you will find some interesting ways to do this that fit your schedule and interests.  If you have any questions, please contact Christine Brosky - Title I Director at christine.brosky@gcssk12.net or 770.5365275 ext. 5140.
