Our Mission
As ONE GAINESVILLE, we will inspire, nurture, challenge, and prepare our students as we educate them to be successful in a 21st century global society.
Our Vision
Our students will think critically, act compassionately, work meaningfully, choose wisely, and live joyfully.
Superintendent's MessageWelcome to Gainesville City School System, home of the Red Elephants and one of the first Charter Districts in Georgia. We are eager to partner with you as we build ONE GAINESVILLE in the schools and the community. Through collaboration and teamwork, endless possibilities exist for our students.
Our District Strategic Improvement Plan guides the services we provide our students, and positively impacts performance at all grade levels.
1. Student-Focused, High Performing Organization
2. High Quality Instruction with Equity of Access for All Students
3. People with a Shared Purpose and Collaborative Culture
These goals serve as the foundation for comprehensive services while tailoring programs to best serve each child’s needs. Serving each child allows us the opportunity to showcase our diversity, relationships, and accomplishments. We are proud of the accomplishments of all of our students and you will find them through various social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, and program-specific websites. Our communication with each other and focused involvement benefits ONE GAINESVILLE, and its strength has no limits.
ONE GAINESVILLE will only succeed when every student has multiple advocates and every stakeholder actively pursues excellence for students in every facet. Each student has a right to reach his or her maximum potential and it is our responsibility to cultivate opportunities that inspire, nurture, challenge, and prepare them for their future. It takes a team to develop the potential of our young people and you are important to their future.
I thank you for your commitment to the Red Elephant family and I encourage you to add value into the lives of our students and those around you.
Sincerely,
Jeremy H. Williams, Ed.D.
