Classes
| Technology Services is now offering
Technology Professional Development Classes to all of
GCSS!
This spring we offered 8
courses and a new SmartBoard will be awarded to
NHES for being the school with
the most technology professional development attendees!
The
8 classes offered were compiled from the advice of
our technical advisory committees at each school.
A list of classes offered and a link to the
handout for each class is included below for
those who missed out. Special thanks to
the people who attended all or almost all
professional development classes this Spring.

Summer Computer Bootcamp:
Please sign up bootcamp by emailing me at
ruby.west@gcssk12.net by 5pm the
day before the class is offered and include your LoTi
level. We will be announcing the date of the July
session soon. Thanks to all those who

Technology Assessment for GCSS Staff
Take the LoTi Quiz to see what Classes
would help you:
The LoTi is a brief research-based questionnaire that
assigns you to one of 8 levels of
technology use in the classroom. This questionnaire is designed
specifically for assessing school system employees’
level of technology integration into their daily
tasks. Please see the link below for more information
on this survey. It is provided to our system for free by
the Georgia Department of Education.
To register for and take the LoTi, please visit the link
below and follow the directions beneath:

Fill out registration
information:
Using your firstname.lastname as the
userID and the last 4 digits of your SSN for
your password, then click "Submit", you'll also
need the following group ID and password for
this screen: 4gadoexti, 420xti69. |
| Select "Gainesville City
Public Schools" from the drop down list |
| Pick your school from the
drop down list, click "continue" (If you are
at GES, NHES, or SBO, select any school) |
| Click "LoTi lounge" |
| Click "Take the LoTi
Questionnaire" |
| Click on the "Questionnaire
Version" drop down box and choose the version
that best applies to you |
| Answer the area specific
questions then click "continue" to begin to LoTi |
| Click "next page" after every
ten questions until you have answered all 50
questions |
| LoTi will then calculate your
level, read the screen and then click "continue" |
| Please read through all of
the results and recommendations the LoTi has
made for you |
| Email your LoTi level to me
when you sign up for the class recommended for
you level above! **These are only
recommendations. Everyone is welcome to attend every
class |
