Welcome to Gainesville City School System, home of the Red Elephants and one of the first Charter Districts in Georgia. We are eager to partner with you as we refine strategies in the schools and the community. Our 2024-2029 GCSS Strategic Plan continues to refine strengths and streamline innovative solutions for all students by expanding the motto of Go Big RED.

These goals serve as the foundation for comprehensive services while tailoring programs to best serve each child's needs. Serving each child allows us the opportunity to showcase our diversity, relationships, and accomplishments. Our communication with each other and focused involvement benefits One Gainesville, and its strength has no limits.

We will only succeed when every student has multiple advocates and every stakeholder actively pursues excellence for students in every facet. It takes a team to develop the potential of our young people and you are important to their future.
