PowerSchool Cybersecurity Incident

On Tuesday, January 7, Gainesville City Schools received notification from a former vendor, PowerSchool, that the company became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access on December 28.

Gainesville City Schools ended our contract with PowerSchool in December of 2021.

In order to remain transparent, Gainesville City Schools is releasing the information that was provided by PowerSchool. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
